After growing up in Milwaukee, Wisconsin (Jake) and San Diego, California (Nancy) the Jensens met while college students at Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas and married in 1979. After moving to San Diego, Jake became a CPA and Nancy worked in the mental health field. In 1986, after the birth of their first child, Seth, Jake and Nancy went on to serve churches in Boston, Massachusetts; London, England; Denver, Colorado; Orange County, California and then moved to Missoula, Montana in 2006 to lead the Five Valleys Church of Christ. Along with their son Seth, Jake and Nancy have another son Jesse, as well as their daughter, Jessica Jensen Stubbs and her husband Mani.
