The Apologetics Research Society sponsored a debate between four scientists entitled, "Four Christian Views of Evolution". The purpose of this debate was to compare and contrast four different views of evolution that could be acceptable to people of faith. They were: Intelligent Design, Young Earth Creationism, Progressive Creationism, and Evolutionary Creationism. The views of each speaker are entirely their own and do not necessarily reflect the views of Apologetics Research Society or Illumination Publishers Intl.

Mr. John Clayton (www.doesgodexist.org) representing the Classical Intelligent Design view serves as President of Does God Exist and travels throughout the United States teaching on the subject of God's existence. He is a teacher and geologist by profession. He holds a M.S. degree from Indiana University in education with a concentration in chemistry and psychometry. He also holds a M.S. degree from the University of Notre Dame in geology and earth science. Mr. Clayton is the author of numerous books, pamphlets and tracts demonstrating that there is a scientific basis for belief in God.

Dr. Kevin Anderson (www.creationresearch.org/) representing the Young Earth Creationist view obtained his Ph.D. from Kansas State University in microbiology. He has served as a professor of microbiology at Mississippi State University. As a professor, he taught graduate level molecular genetics classes and served as the major professor for several doctoral and masters students. He later served as a research microbiologist for the United States Department of Agriculture before accepting his current position as Director of the Van Andel Creation Research Center. Dr. Anderson has published over 20 papers in technical microbiology journals and has given presentations at numerous national and international scientific meetings. He is the Editor-in-chief of the Creation Research Society Quarterly.

Dr. John Oakes (www.evidenceforchristianity.org) representing the Progressive Creationist view serves as President of the Apologetics Research Society and is a professor of Chemistry at Grossmont College. Dr. Oakes earned his PhD in chemical physics from the University of Colorado and has authored numerous books such as, Is There a God? Questions of Science and the Bible, Reasons for Belief: A Handbook of Christian Evidences and From Shadow to Reality. John's interest in Christian evidences sprang naturally from his work as a scientist. He has traveled around the world teaching on the subject of Apologetics and Theology.

Dr. Denis Lamoureux representing the Evolutionary Creationism view is an assistant professor of science and religion at St. Joseph's College in the University of Alberta (www.ualberta.ca/~dlamoure/index.htm). Dr. Lamoureux's academic specialty focuses on the modern origins controversy. He holds three earned doctoral degrees: dentistry, theology, and biology. He is a member of the executive council of the Canadian Scientific and Christian Affiliation, a Fellow of the American Scientific Affiliation, and is cited in the Who's Who of Theology and Science. Lamoureux lectures throughout Canada and the United States in both Christian and secular academic institutions.
